ASSSISTANCE SOCIETY FOR INTEGGRATED PRODUCTION
This society is the precondition for members to produce Steirisches Kürbiskernöl g.g.A (Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil PGI) according to regulation 510/2006 of the European Union.
Every farmer who closes a cultivation contract with our company F. Url gets automatically member of the FIP and complies with the requirements which are necessary for the accredited board of control in Austria.
What stands behind “Steirisches Kürbiskernöl g.g.A” according to regulation 510/2006 of the European Union?
This oil has been protected by the European Union since, apart from its unique and premium taste and its long tradition it shows a strong regional context.
ggA (PGI) stands for protected geographical indication which guarantees that:
- 100% of the pumpkin seeds derive from g.g.A areas
- the pumpkin seed oil gets pressed in a Styrian oil mill
- the pumpkin seed oil is 100 % pure from first pressing
Only pumpkin seed oil with the g.g.A sealing protected by the European Union and a serial control number is allowed to be named “Echtes Steirisches Kürbiskernöl” (Original Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil).
